Black Friday = Great Deals

Well, the holiday season is upon us. That may mean different things to different people – those of us who love to indulge in deliciously rich food can do so without a second thought and those that are in need of a retail fix can score some incredible deals on a very special day the Friday after Thanksgiving. I am referring to a little something called BLACK FRIDAY! Black Friday, which is also known as Green Friday (I have never heard of Green Friday??), takes place on Friday the 26th of November and officially marks the start of the holiday shopping season. While you can find great deals on just about everything, Black Friday is a day to score amazing deals on all things digital.

Laptops are at the top of the food chain. Since the traditional, bulky, and boring desktop computer is starting to go ‘bye-bye’ more consumers are starting to switch to the modern, smaller, faster, and cooler laptop.

If you don’t own a laptop yet, or even if you do and are looking to expand your arsenal, black Friday is a great day to do so. Black Friday laptop deals are legendary, all of the top retailers and manufacturers of laptops seem to be onboard as they all boost their inventories in the months leading up and then slash prices to record lows to make sure they can maximize their returns. It seems that everyone has a laptop these days. Visit any college campus or local coffee shop and you’ll find quantities of patrons plugging away at their laptops…I wonder how many of those laptops are “black Friday laptops” that might be an interesting statistic, maybe I’ll do a follow-up post after black Friday shopping numbers are released to look at just how many laptops were purchased on this very special day.

This year, you owe it to yourself to shake off that turkey hangover, get yourself to a mall, and take part in the fun. Heck, you don’t even have to go to a mall anymore, all you have to do is boot up your computer, browse to any of the top online retailers, and go crazy! Terms like “economic crisis, financial meltdown, global recession, etc.” have become some of the most commonly used terms these days. I don’t know about you, but I am getting pretty sick of hearing them as well as experiencing the effects of said terms.  This holiday season it’s more important than ever to buy what you can. I know it’s somewhat of a catch-22 in that we have less money to spend due to the recession, but yet spending money is a great way to get out of the recession. The retailers and manufacturers are doing what they can to get consumers to spend and one of which is by slashing prices on black Friday. Get out there and get great deals on all your digital toys! Laptops, televisions, appliances, you name it are all going to be at “fire sell” prices this Friday – Black Friday that is.
