Kanye West’s single “Stronger,” with that dope Daft Punk beat, was apparently plagiarized. No, Daft Punk isn’t taking a break from manufacturing parties in their light pyramid to sue Kanye West. Rather, Virginia rapper Vince P. has allegedly realized three years after the fact that Kanye stole all the lyrics from his own song “Stronger.”

Allegedly, Vincent Peters (who obviously is the creatively-named “Vince P.”) submitted his song to Kanye’s manager, John Monopoly — honestly. Seven months later, West released his own version as part of his third album Graduation with what Peters claims are alarmingly similar lyrics, such as use of the word “wronger” and allusions to supermodel Kate Moss.

The lawsuit wants all profits made from the single turned over to Peters as well as mandating every existing copy be DESTROYED.

That would be a lot of cheddar, considering the song topped the charts and won West the Best Solo Rap Performance Grammy. West has always been a much better producer than lyricist (my opinion, of course, but also the correct one) but stealing from someone else isn’t the answer, chickies. Because if you (allegedly) do, that person will sue you after somehow escaping your inescapable hit for three years.
